Todd Daynes, MD
Dr. Todd Ellsworth Daynes is a Utah native graduating from East High School. An avid swimmer, Dr. Daynes was the Utah State Champion in the 50 yard freestyle. After high school, Dr. Daynes served and LDS mission in Chile. He then attended the University of Utah and followed with medical school at the University of Utah as well. He completed an intern year at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He then completed a residency at Saint Louis University. Dr. Daynes has since performed 1000’s of surgeries, exams, glasses fitting, and medical evaluations. He looks to develop a long term personal experience with all of his patients.
We invite you to have an MVP experience at our office. Dr. Daynes is a board certified ophthalmologist and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons as well as the Utah Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Daynes has published research in the most esteemed journals of ophthalmology including The American Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Ophthalmology. Dr. Daynes has done several medical missions since completing residency. He has worked in India as well as Guatemala.
He enjoys coaching youth sports, biking, golfing and spending time with his wife and four children.
Toukta "Tee" Phetsysouk
Tee has been with Daynes Eye and Lasik since December 2008 and is our technician and billing specialist. With over 15 years of eye care experience she is well versed in all aspects of our practice and can help you with billing, insurance, scheduling, contacts, glasses, or just about any question you may have. When she’s not in the office you can find Tee working out or reading a good book. She’s a full time mom to three amazing kids, 2 sons and 1 daughter, who keep her running and having fun! Tee is a people person and loves working with the patients at Daynes Eye & Lasik. She will always greet you with a smile and excellent customer service is always her priority.
Joy Gibb, ABOC
Joy joined Daynes Eye and Lasik in September of 2013 and brings over 30 years of optical experience with her. She is our practice manager and oversees our optical department and is a specialist in frame styling and lens selection. Joy writes for a national trade publication, speaks nationally to other eye care professionals, and works closely with The Vision Council. Because of her national involvement on various levels she is able to bring to our patients the newest product solutions available. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, singing, or seeing a musical. She and her husband Dale are the parents of three awesome sons – who all wear glasses and contacts! Joy is passionate about helping our customers see and look their very best!
